For me this is all about accountability, I want to change and be a whole new person. I will be honest and candid about this journey and I look forward to hearing from the FAT community.
Hmmh, what have I learned and applied in the last couple of days/weeks to help me get to where I am . . .
- If you really want to change, now is the time, not next Sunday, not January 1st - the time is now.
- Getting healthy is not a cake walk, it takes sweat, pain (how many bleeping squats and lunges do I have to do?!), discpline (don't eat that cake) and for some of us it will take some tears (why did I let myself get so out of shape?)
- Don't be discouraged, recognize that as much as ten minutes on the treadmill is better that where you were before - at zero
- Go with the flow . . . some days I have energy to burn and other days, not so much - so, do what you can. If you fall off the clean eating wagon, you've got to get right back on, no delay
- Take pride in all accomplishments especially behavioral changes
Today I avoided Starbucks soy, gingebread latte and a biscotti ( yeah me!), I got an apple and a banana w/water
- I am in charge of my future, yes I really am and you are in charge of your future too, so do we binge and give up on this quest? Do you want to be healthy or not?
- I cannot take full credit for this one, HIT the Weights (Billy's advice). I have been reading tons of information on lifting and the impact that it has on women, all were positive.
BTY, there's a new book coming out this week called: New Rules of Lifting for Women: Lift like a Man, Look like a Goddess (they got me at Goddess). I cannot wait to get it.
- Sometimes you just need to rest, yep, rest your body every couple of weeks, it does wonders, and
- My all time favorite, drink lots and lots of water, I swear by this tip
Well, I think that's all for now. BTY, I'm going on vacation from 12/27 to 1/3/08, I plan on doing HIIT while visiting family in the Caribbean.

Starting this blog is a big step in the right direction. You're attitude seems to be in the right place, no reason you shouldn't be able to do this. Compared to many, yours is a small and very achievable amount of weight to lose. Good luck!
Welcome, Julie! Great mindset.
